Webinar: Ayurveda Meets Psychology – The Path To Natural Mental Wellness
The Himalayan School recently organized a thought-provoking webinar titled “Ayurveda Meets Psychology: The Path To Natural Mental Wellness.” This enlightening session brought together two powerful disciplines—Ayurveda and Psychology—to explore their combined potential in promoting mental and physical health.
The webinar featured Dr. Kanchan, a renowned Ayurvedacharya, and Dr. HinshikaShivnani, a skilled psychological counselor and art therapist. Dr. Kanchan delved into the Ayurvedic concepts of doshas and their role in mental and emotional balance. At the same time, Dr. Shivnani shared insights on maintaining psychological health using art therapy and self-awareness techniques & Ms.Sneha shared insights on supporting mental health with dance movement therapy & Dr. Priyanka Guleria shared her valuable thoughts on counseling.
Participants learned about aligning ancient wisdom with modern psychological practices to achieve well-being. The interactive Q&A session at the end further enriched the learning experience for attendees.

Independence Day
This year’s Independence Day celebration was a blend of patriotism and innovation. Students participated in virtual cultural programs, delivering heartfelt performances, poetry, and art displays inspired by India’s rich heritage. The Principal’s address reminded everyone of the importance of freedom and responsibility. A special quiz on India’s history and achievements added an interactive edge to the celebration.

Hindi Diwas
At Himalayan School, we celebrated Hindi Diwas with great enthusiasm and fervor on September 14th. This special day marks the adoption of Hindi as one of the official languages of India, and serves as a reminder of the significance of our national language in uniting the diverse cultures and communities of our country.
Our talented students showcased their linguistic skills by participating in a Hindi quiz competition, which was both challenging and enlightening. The enthusiasm among participants was infectious, and it was heartwarming to witness their love for the language.
Teachers shared interesting anecdotes about prominent Hindi writers and poets, inspiring students to appreciate the literary treasures that Hindi has to offer. The event emphasized the importance of preserving and promoting our mother tongue in a rapidly globalizing world.
As part of the celebration, students and teachers adorned themselves in traditional attire, adding a cultural flavor to the day. Delicious Hindi-themed snacks were shared among everyone, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

Health Awareness Week
Our recent Health Awareness Week was a resounding success! Students engaged in enlightening sessions with experts such as Dr. HinshikaShivnani, a psychological counsellor and art therapist, and Dr. Kanchan, an Ayurvedacharya.
